CORONATION Street fans rejoiced tonight as Rana Nazir was saved in the nick of time after being kidnapped by her own parents.
The nurse had no idea her devious mum and dad had bought her a one-way ticket to Pakistan after discovering she had continued her relationship with Kate Connor.
Her devout Muslim parents were appalled when they first found out about her lesbian romance, but after catching the women in a naked romp earlier this week, they put their terrible plan in action.
Telling Rana - played by Bhavna Limbachia - she was off to visit her dying sister, her mum 'agreed' to let Rana come with her.
But as they rushed off to the family home, Yasmeen Nazir sensed something was amiss and got Rana's brother Imran to check out his parent's story.
Sure enough, it was confirmed his aunt was fit and well, and so the pair, along with Kate and Rana's husband Zeedan raced to the house to try and save her.
However Imran's dad refused to let him in the house, and said Rana and his wife had already gone to the airport.
But Kate sensed that wasn't the case, and sure enough, the pair were spotted leaving the home and getting into a taxi.
Kate screamed at Rana to check her ticket and, snatching it from her mother, she realised the horror of her situation.
Confronting their parents, Rana and Imran asked how they could do such a thing.
Unrepentant, the dad told Rana he had disowned her forever, before Imran told him they were actually disowning them because of their horrific plan.
As Rana cried, she was dragged to the car and back to Coronation Street to safety.
