During tonight’s episode, Ross was in a blind panic after realising his young son Moses, played by Arthur, was clutching a packet of his painkillers.

Running over, Ross started shouting and begged Moses to tell him if he’d eaten one.

The adorable little boy said he hadn’t and after opening his mouth to prove it, Ross – and viewers – gave a sigh of relief when they saw one of the pills on the floor.

Fans praised Arthur’s acting abilities after the emotional scenes.

One said: “Nice acting from little Moses tonight.”

Another said: “Ross and Moses just so cute.”

While a third warned Ross he shouldn’t be taking risks like that, telling him: “That was too close a call.”

Since the acid attack, Ross has been struggling to control his addiction.

At the start of the first episode of Emmerdale this evening, Ross battled to contain his anger after his doctor told him he couldn’t give him any more pills to control the pain.

And things will go from bad to worse next week as Ross will break into the vets to try and get his hands on more drugs.

He's confronted by Rhona Goskirk who finally takes action and tells Ross' brother Pete about how bad his addiction is.
