JASON Bigg’s wife Jenny Mollen has revealed a snap of her shocking weight loss after falling ill with a thyroid problem.
She shared a picture she’d taken of herself after a visit to the doctors where he told her she may have autoimmune disease Graves.
Graves is the most common cause of hyperthyroidism, a condition which causes the thyroid gland to produce too much thyroid hormone – which can lead to fatigue and weight loss.
Posting the picture on Instagram, 38-year-old Jenny said the drop in weight started after she gave birth to her second child six months ago.
She wrote next to the snap: “Not anorexia, it’s a thyroid issue. I don’t know what it says about me that I got this thin and didn’t think there was anything wrong.
“Last Friday, I had a bulge in my neck that finally got me to the doctor. I’m STILL waiting on blood work but my doc thinks it’s Graves.
“If you just had a baby and have lost an inordinate amount of weight, feel like you are on cocaine, are suddenly heat intolerant, can’t stop losing hair, and think your husband is being a d**k it might just be your thyroid!!”
She then implored her followers to visit a GP as quickly as possible.
“Get checked ASAP."
Earlier this week Jenny also took a video of herself while she was waiting for her doctor.
She pointed at her ribs and hip bones which could clearly be seen through her skin.
Jenny explained: “The assistant said they have most of the test but they don't have one so they won't get back to me until Sunday. I can't wait until Sunday, sorry, you need to at least tell me.”
